The surfaces of your cabochons and the brooch pad should preferably meet without gaps.

Dichro Findings strongly recommends the use of a high strength, waterproof, epoxy resin adhesive for glueing your chosen cabochons to the brooch pad. It is adviseable to roughen the surface of the pad and the back of your chosen cabochon with sand/emery paper before applying the adhesive to ensure good adhesion between your cabochons and the pad.
