Trinity Brass Co. Brass Findings
Trinity Brass Co. offers a large selection of brass findings from delicate filigrees to bold stampings, earwires, chain, jumprings, and more. Their brass findings are nickel and lead free. Many of Trinity Brass Co’s brass stampings are still made utilizing the original dies made over a 100 years ago. Using the vintage dies allows them to offer the same exact stampings you will find used in antique jewellery that grace the pages of Vintage Jewellery books. All their brass stampings are Made in the USA.* No matter what your style is, Vintage Elegance, Modern Style or Bohemian Chic, we have the Trinity Brass Co. products for your jewellery making needs.
Trinity Brass Co. brass findings are professionally finished. Brass is a wonderful light weight metal to use but, raw brass will continue to darken over time. Pits can also occur in raw brass over time especially if the design gets wet. Raw brass can also turn skin and clothes a green/black color. In order to have brass products that are jewellery quality, the brass must be professionally finished.
Trinity Brass Co.'s Professional Finish
Trinity Brass Co.'s brass products have been professionally finished, in the USA, using a nickel & lead free process on all their colours. Several of their finishes have been developed just for them. To achieve the high quality finishes they offer, the process is carefully regulated and only quality materials are used. After the brass findings have achieved their specific colour, they are then sealed with a protective, non-toxic, lacquer so that your designs will stay looking like you designed them today, even years from now. The process used is the same process and quality that the top jewellery designers use on their jewelry, which you find in fine department stores. Even though their brass
findings have been professionally finished, they are still suitable for layering, linking, bending and manipulating. Although Trinity Brass Co. work very hard to keep their colours consistent, the methods used are not a science and colours may vary slightly from batch to batch.
Trinity Brass Co.'s Colours
Trinity Antique Gold is a beautiful rich antique gold that has been achieved through oxidation and is not plated. A special non-chemical process is applied to the brass after oxidation to achieve its shine. A protective, non-toxic, lacquer finish has been applied to each piece. The antique gold finish is a very elegant and sophisticated finish.
Trinity Antique Silver utilizes real silver in the plating process. This finish has been antiqued to enhance the rich detail of the piece. A protective lacquer has been applied to this process to protect the finish from tarnishing. Using real silver allows this finish to be bendable without the plating popping or cracking. This colour has a beautiful shine finish.
Trinity Vintage Patina™ is exclusively available from Trinity Brass Co. and its authorised resellers. The Trinity Vintage Patina™ is a warm chocolate colour that has been achieved through an oxidation process and is not plated. During the process each piece takes on its own unique colour. These slight differences in each piece give the colour its desired finish. A protective, non-toxic, lacquer has been applied to each piece to protect the finish.
Please Note: All the Trinity Brass Co. brass products have been finished with a protective, non-toxic, lacquer. This lacquer is there to protect the finish from turning colour over time. Do not use a polishing cloth, paste or other methods to polish the items, as you will remove the protective lacquer and will leave unprotected raw brass behind. A damp cloth is all you need to clean the items.
Trinity Brass Co.'s brass findings comply with EU Directives on Lead and Nickel Content In Jewellery, in addition to compliance with California’s Lead Content in Jewellery Law.
**All brass components are made in the USA except earwires and chain. Brass earwires and chain may be made in the USA or imported.
